Dan Aykroyd Confirms Ghostbusters 3; Today Show Interview (Video)

Dan Aykroyd stopped by the October 26 Today show to talk about his dad Peter’s book called “A History of Ghosts: The True Story of Seances, Mediums, Ghosts, and Ghostbusters.” Some interesting stuff in the video clip above, but perhaps most interesting is that Dan Aykroyd kinda-sorta confirms that Ghostbusters 3 is happening.

When asked about Ghostbusters 3, Aykroyd said, “Two years ago I’d have to say no. Now it looks pretty good.”

Ghostbusters Ecto-1 Car Auction on eBay, Ends October 11

Everybody loves a piece of movie memorabilia – but how about the famous Ghostbusters car, Ecto-1? Ecto-1, the hearse turned Ghostbuster-mobile, is currently on the auction block at eBay, with the current bid at $40,000.

Bidding for the Ghostbusters Ecto-1 eBay auction ends October 11, so hurry and get your bids in!

The Ecto-1 was used at Universal Studios’ “Ghostbusters Experience” for more than 15 years.

Ghostbusters 3 – Ghostbusters Reunion Film in Development?

Could it be? Could Ghostbusters 3 be heading to the big screen? A reunion film that would bring together original cast members Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson?

Oh, it’s real. It’s happening. Columbia Pictures is planning a return to the Ghostbusters franchise, with Ghostbusters 3.

“The Office” co-executive producers, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, will write the script for Ghostbusters 3.

Ivan Reitman directed the 1984 Ghostbusters original and the sequel in 1989.

For now, no deals are on the table for the original cast until the script is ready.
