Brad Pitt Angry Over Tabloid Reports of a Threat to Shiloh

Proud papa Brad Pitt is understandably angry that a recent edition of Life & Style magazine claims that he and wife Angelina Jolie found a threatening note delivered to their home. Said note supposedly includes a picture of their daughter Shiloh Jolie-Pitt and hints at how easily the perps got “this close already”.

Pitt says that it’s “… dangerous to put these ideas out into the world.” That’s even more true now that Jolie is pregnant again, possibly with triplets.

I’ve been wondering if there was any female celebrity that wasn’t pregnant in the past year or two. Well, one more just joined the mommy-to-be ranks: actress Minnie Driver. Except she isn’t saying who the father is. Minnie also turned 38 yesterday. She has no movie projects at present, but was in Take and Ripple Effect (which she also produced) in 2007.

Rocker/actress Gwen Stefani, also 38 (wow!), is pregnant with her second child by rocker Gavin Rossdale (Bush/ Bush-X). Mary Lynn Rajskub (36), one of the stars of the TV show 24, is pregnant by live-in boyfriend Matthew Rolph. Singer Lily Allen, who just miscarried (probably due to her unwillingness to quit smoking while pregnant), plans to try again with Chemical Brother boyfriend Ed Simons.

Hopefully none of these ladies is as much of a diva as J.Lo, who plans on having all her hospital gowns be couture. J.Lo and husband Mark Anthony revealed the names for their babies to be: Max and Emme.

Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter Name Their Daughter

More unusual celeb baby names dept: Director Tim Burton and actress Helena Bonham Carter have named their new baby girl Indiana Rose Burton. Indy was born on Dec 15th.

Burton directed Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, which is currently in theatres. He’ll be directing Frankenweenie and The Spook’s Apprentice, both in 2009, and Alice in Wonderland in 2010. He also wrote Frankenweenie, and is producing 9 (2008), Frankenweenie, Alice in Wonderland, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not! (2009).

Carter appears in Sweeney Todd, and she’ll reprise her role as Bellatrix Lestrange in 2008’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

The Celebrity Baby Boom Explained?

Please tell me that this is not the reason Hollywood has had a baby boom these past 2-3 calendar years… Gawker has a post asking How Much Is Your Baby Worth?, in which they point out how much money print magazines are paying celebs for the exclusive rights to the pics of their newborn babies.

It seems that the $1M paid to Lynne Spears for rights to Jamie-Lynn Spears’ baby’s pics is peanuts. Nicole Richie’s baby Harlow got that as well, but Christina Aguilera’s little boy has bids reaching $1.5M.

Why are the mags doing this? Here’s the logic, according the Gawker article. Female readers cannot resist baby pics, especially of celebrity babies. So exclusives apparently boost magazine sales – something that’s necessary for print media, I guess, with websites stealing so many “eyes” away.

Halle Berry Concerned About Her Pregnancy?

Halle Berry, who has lately not been pictured with her baby daddy Gabriel Aubry, is nervous about her pregnancy. She unfortunately has a lot of things to worry her. Last year, she decided she wants to raise the baby – who is due in March – in Los Angeles but Aubry, from Quebec, Canada, wants to stay in NYC for his modelling career. Add to this the fact that is Type 1 diabetic and is 41 and hasn’t had a child before. (Although she did adopt India, daughter of Eric Benét, to whom she was married from 2001-2005.)

Being diabetic can mean problems with surgeries due to possible complications with anesthetics. (I’m basing this purely on what a friend has previously told me about her surgery delays due to diabetes.)

Berry will be in three movies in 2008 (Class Act, Tulia, Who is Doris Payne? (rumored)), and one in 2010 (Nappily Ever After). The video clip below is from 2007’s Perfect Strangers.

Short 45-year old David Spade, often rumored to be gay, might be the father of hot 22-year old Playboy model Jillian Grace’s unborn child. Yeah, baby. [TMZ]

Gwyneth Paltrow was admitted into hospital earlier this week, and rumors are that it might have been due to a pregnancy complication. Paltrow and husband Chris Martin already have two very young children. [Rush & Molly, Daily Mail]

Sweeney Todd’s Helena Bonham Carter Gives Birth

Helena Bonham Carter just gave birth to a baby girl over the weekend, in London. Carter currently stars in Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. The film is directed by husband Tim Burton, and also stars Johnny Depp in the lead role. This is Carter and Burton’s second child.

Carter’s only other film this year is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, but she’s also in the next one, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which is currently filming.
