Is there a Catherine Zeta-Jones Susan Boyle biopic in the works? Rumors about Catherine Zeta-Jones as Susan Boyle in a movie have been rampant, but her publicist says it’s not going to happen.

Ever since Susan Boyle appeared on Britain’s Got Talent, her name has been in the news daily – and buzz about Catherine Zeta-Jones playing her in a movie based on her life is the latest gossip.

Apparently, Catherine Zeta-Jones asked about film rights to Susan Boyle’s story… and director James Cameron had expressed interest in helming the film. This sounds totally made up, no?

While a spokesman for Susan Boyle declined to comment, Catherine Zeta-Jones’ publicist said there are no plans for Zeta-Jones to take on the role.

Steven Soderbergh’s next directing project is certainly… well, interesting. Soderbergh is planning to take on a 3-D live-action rock ’n’ roll musical about Cleopatra.

Catherine Zeta-Jones may play the role of Cleopatra, while Hugh Jackman is rumored to be cast as Marc Antony.

This will be Steven Soderbergh’s first musical film.
