Anne Hathaway’s Ex, Raffaello Follieri, Arrested for Fraud, Money Laundering, Conspiracy
Wow, did Anne Hathaway bail on her relationship with Italian businessman Raffaello Follieri just in time or what? Looks like Raffaello Follieri has gotten himself arrested – for fraud, money laundering and conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
“Get Smart” star Anne Hathaway broke up with Raffaello Follieri last month. The split was rumored to have gone down because Raffaello Follieri was bad for Anne Hathaway’s image and career. Smart girl.
Raffaello Follieri’s arrest comes after he has been accused of lying to investors and claiming to be the CFO of the Vatican. He will appear in Manhattan federal court Tuesday.
With the charges before him, Raffaello Follieri could go to prison for life.
The charges include six counts of wire fraud, five counts of money laundering, and one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.
