This seems a bit uninspired, but Variety is reporting that a big screen version of TV’s American Gladiators is in the works. Could American Gladiators: The Movie work on film?

There’s no word yet on a storyline or casting, but the American Gladiators movie will no doubt be short on action.

Series creator Johnny Ferraro said of the film project, “I look forward to creating a compelling story that launches a whole new set of characters.”
