Shelley Malil, who played Haziz in “The 40 Year Old Virgin,” has been arrested in connection with a stabbing attack on his former girlfriend. Reports are circulating that Shelley Malil went to his ex-girlfriend’s home and stabbed her as many as 20 times. The woman’s two children were home at the time of the attack.

Shelley Malil was arrested at a San Diego Amtrak station - he was traveling from Los Angeles to meet with his attorney - the attorney, family and friends persuaded him to turn himself in, according to police.

Shelley Malil’s ex-girlfriend (her name has not been released) was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition Monday morning. Her condition is unknown this morning.

Shelley Malil was arrested for investigation of attempted murder, mayhem and burglary.
